Since 5 years there is a Geology Day of Sweden in August. This involves the geological survey, universities, private companies, mining companies, societies of amateur geologists etc at more than 300 places in Sweden during one day. The day before (a Friday) is devoted to activities in geoscience in Swedish schools all over the country. There will be a close collaboration between IYPE and these activities in 2007-2009
