Big day in Costa Rica

We are very enthusiastic and proud to inform that we will hold an official ceremony to launch the INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF PLANET EARTH, 22 of April. The President of the Republic, the Minister of Energy and Mines, the Mayor of San Jose, UNESCO´ representative and hopefully a IYPE´ representative, will be present on such event. Within activities planned, we will have a Fair of the Earth and students from elementary and high schools from countryside communities as well as the capital surroundings, will attend it.

The Fair of the Earth will have an important exhibition of governmental and private initiatives related to geo-science activities such as energy generation, basic raw material production –cement, glass- as well as handling of remainders and prevention of disasters, among others, which would reinforce the initiative “Peace with Nature” that our government has impelled.

The same day, the poster exhibit focused on the 10 Science Themes that was announced, would be open to public at Main Avenue, Downtown San José.
